东南亚美术协会即将于2023年10月13日至16日在假醉花林俱乐部举办一场重要的书画回顾展《回首迎新》，展出部份由70年代,历届十人画展参与画家和协会会员的绘画作品。这次美展的意义非常重大，它将展示创会先辈和现任会员为新加坡美术事业所做出的贡献。
作为东南亚美术协会的新任会长，我感到非常荣幸和骄傲，能有机会主持这样一场盛大的美展。通过这次展览，我们希望能够让更多的人了解东南亚美术协会，认识我们的历史和现状，进一步推动新加坡美术事业的发展。
此次回顾展将展出部份历届十人画展参与画家和协会会员的绘画作品，这些作品包括油画、水墨画、素描、木塑及陶瓷...等多种不同形式的艺术作品。这些作品代表了东南亚美术协会在不同历史时期的成就和探索，也展现了东南亚地区艺术家的多样性和创新性。
我们相信，这次美展将不仅是一场视觉盛宴，更是一次对新加坡美术事业的肯定和推动。我们希望通过这次展览，让更多的人认识东南亚美术协会，了解我们的宗旨和目标，同时也能够举办更多的活动，让更多的国人参与到美术事业中来，提升他们的鉴赏能力和创作水平。

South- East Asia Art Association is set to hold the "Stepping Forward In Retrospective" calligraphy and painting retrospective exhibition from October 14th to 16th, 2023, at the Chui Huey Lim Club. This exhibition will showcase artworks from some of the artists who participated in the Ten-Men Art Group in the 1970s, along with contributions from association members. It's a significant event aiming to showcase the contributions of past and present members to Singapore's art scene.
As the new President of the South-East Asia Art Association, I'm honored and proud to host this grand exhibition. Our goal is to provide insight into our association's history and current status, fostering further growth in Singapore's art scene.
The retrospective will display various art forms, including oil paintings, watercolors, sketches, woodcarvings, ceramics, and more, from artists who have been part of the Ten-Men Art Group and association members. These pieces represent the association's achievements and explorations throughout different historical periods, showcasing the diversity and innovation of Southeast Asian artists.
We believe this exhibition will not only be a visual delight but also a testament to Singapore's art industry. Through this showcase, we aim to increase awareness of the South-East Asia Art Association, its objectives, and goals. Moreover, we aim to host more events to engage the public in the art scene, enhancing their appreciation and creative abilities.

值此"回首迎新°东南亚美术协会书画回顾展在醉花林俱乐部开幕之际，谥致热烈祝贺！
笔器生香，丹青言志。此次回顾展汇集了东南亚美术协会的艺术家们的精品力作，目的在于继续发扬前辈艺术家对艺术的执着追求精神；为书画家搭建平台，促进东南亚区域，乃至世界范围的文化艺术交流与合作。同时，参展的艺术家们也可借此机会总结以往不足之处，向更高的层次冲刺。
五十余载耕耘，润物细无声。东南亚美术协会为本地艺术团体，自1970年创立以来，举办了各项展览、写生、艺术讲座，以及学术培训班，艺术足迹遍布东南亚和中国，培养了许多出类拔萃的书画人才，为新加坡华族传统艺术的传承、推动和发展做出了卓越的贡献。
醉花林俱乐部是拥有 178 年历史的潮人社团，也是潮社的文化中心，文化底蕴丰厚。一直以来致力于弘扬传统文化和艺术，为艺术家提供交流的平台，并给子大力支持。
此次书画回顾展的成功举办，归功于东南亚美术协会工作委员会的精心策划和筹办，凝聚了各位参展艺术家的艰辛付出。醉花林愿意和艺术家们携手努力，为传承和推广传统文化艺术贡献一份力量。

On the occasion of the opening of the "Stepping Forward in Retrospective" South-East Asia Art Association Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" at Chui Huay Lim Club, extending my warmest congratulations!
With the fragrance of ink and the expression of aspirations through brushes and instruments, this retrospective exhibition gathers exquisite works from the artists of the South-East Asia Art Association. The purpose is to continue the dedicated spirit of pursuit of art from the predecessors, provide a platform for calligraphers and painters, and promote cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation in South-East Asia and even globally. Simultaneously, participating artists can use this opportunity to reflect on past shortcomings and strive for higher levels in their artistic endeavors.
With over fifty years of cultivation, the South East Asia Art Association has silently nurtured and enriched the artistic landscape. Since its establishment in 1970, the association has organized various exhibitions, plein air sessions, art lectures, and academic training courses, leaving artistic footprints across Southeast Asia and China. It has nurtured many outstanding calligraphers and painters, making significant contributions to the inheritance, promotion, and development of traditional Chinese art in Singapore.
Chui Huay Lim Club, with a history of 178 years, is a cultural hub for the Teochew community, dedicated to promoting traditional culture and the arts. It has consistently provided a platform for artists to exchange ideas and has been a strong supporter of the arts.
The success of this calligraphy and painting retrospective exhibition is credited to the meticulous planning and organization by the South-East Asia Art Association's working committee, coupled with the dedicated efforts of the participating artists. Chui Huay Lim Club is willing to collaborate with these artists to contribute to the inheritance and promotion of traditional cultural arts.

东南亚美术协会将于2023年10月14日至16日在醉花林俱乐部举办“回首迎新”美术展。此次展览将呈现上世纪七十年代“十人画家”成员以及协会现任成员的艺术作品，展示过去和现在会员在新加坡艺术领域的重要贡献。这是一场具有重要意义的活动，旨在展示协会会员的艺术历程，为新加坡艺术界添彩。

The Southeast Asia Art Association will host the "Stepping Forward In Retrospective" art exhibition from October 14th to 16th, 2023, at the Chui Huey Lim Club.
