1996年，郭美凤正式踏上了她的艺术之旅，加入了欧南社区俱乐部的美术会，师从吴世桂老师学习水墨画。在吴老师的悉心指导下，她逐渐掌握了中国水墨画的基本技巧，特别是在笔法和墨色的运用上，奠定了坚实的艺术基础。这段学习经历不仅让她深入了解了中国传统绘画的美学，也培养了她对这一艺术形式的深厚兴趣。

随着欧南社区俱乐部的拆除，郭美凤并没有停下她的艺术追求。她加入了丹戎巴葛社区俱乐部的美术会，继续学习水墨画。这一次，她师从林禄在老师，进一步提高了自己的技艺。林老师以其独特的水墨画风格和细致的教学方法闻名，帮助郭美凤在艺术创作中更加自如地运用墨色和构图，深化了她对中国绘画的理解。

2005年，郭美凤的艺术道路上迎来了新的里程碑。她加入了林禄在老师创办的天行健艺术院，成为其中的一员。在这个充满艺术氛围的环境中，她不仅得以继续学习水墨画，还能与其他艺术爱好者进行深入的交流和切磋。这一经历不仅丰富了她的艺术视野，也帮助她在艺术创作上逐步形成了自己的风格。

自2013年至今，郭美凤开始涉足书法领域，跟随著名书法家陈泰福老师学习书法。这次学习机会是她所在的公司为员工提供的福利课程，让她得以在繁忙的工作之余继续追求艺术梦想。在陈老师的指导下，她逐渐掌握了书法的笔法和字形结构，进一步拓展了她的艺术表现力，展示了她对中国传统文化的持续热爱与探索。

In 1996, Kwok Mei Foong officially began her artistic journey by joining the art club at Outram Community Club, where she studied Chinese ink painting under the guidance of teacher Wu Shigui. Under Wu's meticulous instruction, she gradually mastered the basic techniques of Chinese ink painting, especially in brushwork and ink application, laying a solid foundation for her artistic development. This learning experience not only deepened her understanding of the aesthetics of traditional Chinese painting but also fostered her growing passion for this art form.

After the demolition of Outram Community Club, Kwok Mei Foong continued her artistic pursuit by joining the art club at Tanjong Pagar Community Club. This time, she studied under teacher Lin Luzai, further refining her skills in ink painting. Lin, known for his unique style and detailed teaching methods, helped her gain a more profound understanding of the use of ink, composition, and shading in Chinese painting, enabling her to advance in her artistic creations.

In 2005, a new milestone in Kwok Mei Foong's artistic journey was reached when she joined Tianxingjian Art Academy, founded by Lin Luzai. Within this vibrant artistic community, she had the opportunity to continue learning ink painting while engaging in meaningful exchanges with other passionate artists. This experience not only broadened her artistic horizons but also helped her gradually develop her personal style.

Since 2013, Kwok Mei Foong has expanded her artistic repertoire by studying calligraphy under the renowned calligrapher Tan Thye Hock. This learning opportunity came through a company-sponsored program that offered calligraphy lessons to its employees. Under Tan's guidance, she has mastered brush techniques and character structure, further enhancing her artistic expression. This journey into calligraphy reflects her deep and enduring love for Chinese traditional culture and her commitment to artistic exploration.
